Damon Martin was born in the North East of Scotland in 1988 and from the age of 4 discovered a massive passion for music. He is a self-taught singer, guitarist, pianist, composer and producer.
Since 2007 he has been the lead singer/guitar player and main songwriter for the heavy metal band Downfall. The band had two releases with Damon on vocals: Burn and Unstoppable which he mixed and produced himself.
In 2009 Damon started writing material for a solo project he called Traumatosis.
The album is called Cold Reading and is scheduled for a 2011 release.
"It's about my absolute rejection of superstition and the supernatural. I'm massively offended by the greed and lack of conscience of psychics. This is my way of expressing that."
Traumatosis is a marketer's nightmare. There is no clear genre to which it belongs. Cold Reading promises to bombard the listener with all sorts of influences including minimalism, spoken word, experimental music concrete, heavy metal, grunge and various other styles that would not normally be heard on the same album.
"My aim is to surprise you consistently and lead you on a journey through my frantic brain."
